La Llamada es la película creada y dirigido por Javier Calvo y Javier Ambrossi que se estrena el 29 de septiembre . Esta película tiene su origen en la obra de teatro musical homónima que lleva cuatro años representándose en el Teatro Lara de Madrid. Tuve la suerte de asistir al preestreno de la película en Barcelona el pasado jueves 21 de septiembre y me gustaría compartir con vosotros mi opinión. En la película se narra la historia de dos amigas adolescentes (María y Susana) y dos monjas (Milagros y Sor Bernarda) durante un fin de semana en un campamento de verano cristiano en Segovia. María recibe la llamada de Dios (quien le canta canciones de Whitney Houston) y esto afectará al resto de personajes y hará que se replanteen sus vidas.   Esta adaptación atrapa no solo por la originalidad de su argumento y su brillante guión que hace que no puedas parar de reír, sino también por la interpretación de las cuatro actrices protagonistas: Macarena García (María), Anna Cast...

Lights, camera, action! A red carpet and the smell of popcorn guided film lovers to the Oxford Brookes Student Film Festival yesterday. The famous soundtracks along with the red carpet and the popcorn captivate the audience and created a kind of magic in the atmosphere of the event. It took place in the Union Hall of the John Henry Brookes Building. The third year students of Film Studies screened their short films to the following select audience: Dr. Lindsay Steenberg, Nick O'Dwyer, Dr. Paolo Russo and other Oxford Brookes teachers and students. In the following post I will narrate my experience in this edition of the Student Film Festival as a spectator that enjoyed the event and wants to express her point of view.  The jury was composed of the three film experts in Oxford Brookes University mentioned above.
