Lights, camera, action! A red carpet and the smell of popcorn guided film lovers to the Oxford Brookes Student Film Festival yesterday. The famous soundtracks along with the red carpet and the popcorn captivate the audience and created a kind of magic in the atmosphere of the event. It took place in the Union Hall of the John Henry Brookes Building. The third year students of Film Studies screened their short films to the following select audience: Dr. Lindsay Steenberg, Nick O'Dwyer, Dr. Paolo Russo and other Oxford Brookes teachers and students. Este sábado en el ayuntamiento de Oxford tuvo lugar la Lou Lou's Vintage Fair . Un evento en el que se mezclaban diversos comercios de la ciudad cuyo mínimo común denominador era el estilo vintage. Al traspasar la puerta del señorial ayuntamiento, el ambiente, el aroma, los objetos y la música que bailaban en el lugar te hacían retroceder en el tiempo. "Return to sender" de Elvis Presley y otros éxitos que me recordaban a las bandas sonoras de películas como Dirty Dancing y Grease se esparcían por cada rincón de la sala más retro del ayuntamiento para amenizar las compras. Una mujer con la vestimenta característica del estilo de la feria era la encargada de interpretar las melodías. Pero... ¿qué es el estilo vintage?
